Taxi prices from Ivato airport
All prices are fixed and agreed before you travel. No meter, and no surprises on arrival.
- Ivato airport ↔ your hotel in Antananarivo: a pickup fee of 50,000 Ar or €10, plus 15,000 Ar or €3 per km (rounded to the nearest whole km), at least 150,000 Ar or €30, per car, one way. 1 to 5 passengers, day and night. The pickup fee covers our drive to the airport or to your hotel.
- City tour of Tana, or a destination outside the city: price on request.
Priced by Google Maps, not by the driver
We count the kilometres on the route Google Maps suggests from Ivato airport to your hotel, and that sets your price before you travel. The driver has no reason to take a longer road, because a detour never adds a single ariary. A hotel 18 km away, for example, costs 320,000 Ar or €64: the pickup fee plus 18 km. A delayed flight costs nothing extra: we count from when your plane actually lands. Waiting is free for 1 h 30 after landing, enough time for the visa, passport control and your bags. After that, waiting costs 25,000 Ar or €5 per started half hour. You pay everything at the end of the ride, nothing in advance.
